There are only four days left till I leave on my trip. I am so excited I can't describe it in words! Today I got two more shots. One for yellow fever and one for typhus. We got the shots at the KLM Travel Clinic. The nurse there was amazing at giving shots. I didn't feel a thing. In addition, she also gave really good advice as to what other things I should probably consider taking on my trip.
Also, a couple of days ago I bought some of the things I need. Such as a mosquito net, sleeping bag, backpack, special mosquito repellent, etc. I went shopping to Beversport with my dad to get these things. The content of the shop really surprised me. They had everything! From hiking boots to mosquito nets to special small towels and lots more. If we would have to buy any of these things in Warsaw we would probably have had to go to multiple shops to get all the items and some of the things might not even be available.
I still need to buy some other things for my trip however, most importantly I need to find a way to fit all my things in the three bags I have. There are so many things that need to fit into those three bags, especially a lot of school books. Hopefully, it will all work out.
I can't wait to go on this journey. I am so excited to find out what life on the boat is like and what it is like to sail a big boat. Four more days!
